Yes, please rescind W.D. circular #2, dated Feb. 1944, (HOMOSEXUALS) and substitute a white discharge for the blue. Most of us were inducted against our will, and it seems that things are being made harder for us because we are something that we could not help. If you are so adverse to our activities why did you induct us in the first place.

Even as a leopard cannot change its spots, neither can we curtail our homosexual inclinations.

I am certain that numerous cases have been presented requesting a discharge under Section VIII, A.R. 615-360, (undesirable traits, etc), by persons such as I who are afraid that retention in the Services will result in abberations, or other forms of insanity if they are not permitted to find an outlet to their subnormal desires, Or, if while giving vent to their emotions they are discovered, and court-martialed, and given long sentences along with a dishonorable discharge, where the Army's "face" could be saved by careful study of these cases, after which, if justified, an honoable [honorable] discharge be given the person in question.
