I think if troops are sent over to fight, they should be put to fight instead of laying around, and after a certain length of time get sent back to the States. That would help the morale of the troops a lot. Some have spent a year or to there and saw no action, just laying around in the states. Why shouldn't they be sent over, and let us take their jobs for awhile. They all want to get across, and get a shot at the enemy. The morel [morale] is getting the best of us. We are not fighting, just the Japs. We are fighting three enemy that is the Japs, disease, and most of all morel. We like to do something for our country, but why should we do all of it. You have plenty of soldiers back in the states they do a lot of talking let them come over here. I did my bit I gave what I could give and I can't give any more. I am not talking for myself but hundreds of my buddies who have been through the same thing as I have been through and let us go home or are there some people try to make more money.
